There was a 50 minute wait to buy a ticket to go up the elevator to the observation deck and somehow my sister saw the sign, "Stairs Up" so she decided to take it. It said "it takes 12 - 15 minutes". Lie! Although I was semi-conscious almost all the way, I am sure it took more than that. The deck was 500 feet, 531 steps (and more). At least, I made it up. I was later told that I was lucky, since the stairs are not usually available - only when it is really busy, they open it for public. Lucky? I don't think so. And we had to pay $8 just to use the stairs. For all that, I got a tiny certficate!
